Any Siberian Husky Reputable Breeders/shelters You Have in Mind?

My family and I are interested in adopting a siberian husky that is two years old or younger. Do you have any good advice/recomendations for breeders and rescues? We live in the Washington/Idaho/Oregon area and wouldnt like to drive farther than that. We want them to be fairly inexpensive because we want to be able to pay his vet bill without worrying to much about our money. I know that they are an active breed and require an intense amount of training and patients so please dont tell me about that. I have done a TON of research on the breed and a few others as well. Thanks so much for your suggestions! Can you tell us if they require house visits as well? We arent comfortable with that because we always have little kids we baby sit running around the house :)
Yes we know they shed a whole lot and have even watched those YouTube videos "so you want a siberian husky?" we have researched many ways to train them so they turn out to be wonderful family pets that have very few problems (none of which would be behavioral) I guess I wasnt clear on this but we want either sites that would help me research them even more, or breeder websites in our area, or shelter websites in our area. Thank you for your help and sorry if I sound rude.

Siberian Huskies can be great first time pets *if you’re dedicated* Thank you so much for doing your research and asking to find a reputable breeder. If you’re in canada, the majority of members of the siberian husky club of canada are reputable breeders. I have Huskies and am part of the club, but I do not breed litters. Try out www.siberianhuskyclubofcanada.com . We are a fairly close group and are bound by very strict by-laws. If you’re in the US I have a few kennels in mind – picking the right breeder is a huge accomplishment since that breeder will most likely guide you and mentor you throughout the life of your dog. Please contact me if you wish to have futhur information.

Do you know they shed a lot and are you aware that the dig holes and can be very bad runners (in that they will bolt through and open door and take off).
Do a simple Google search "Siberian Husky Rescue" and you’ll get useful information.

obtaining a dog from a reputable breeder will not be "fairly inexpensive". Some of them have adults to place in pet homes for the cost of spay/neuter, but not too often that they have a younger dog to place.

shelter or rescue is your best bet. They are a common breed, so you shouldnt have any problems finding one thru there. http://www.petfinder.com

Some shelters and rescues require home visits, and some do not. The purpose of a home visit is to be sure that the home is safe for the dog (fenced yard if the rescue requires it, other pets appear to be cared for, entire family is on board with the idea of getting a dog, etc)

Any reputable breeder OR rescue is going to want to do a home visit. They are going to want to see what day to day life is like AT your home, and honestly, a bunch of young kids is hardly an ideal situation for a new dog. The only ones who well sell you a dog are BYBs who care more about the money than the dog or your family, OR a kill shelter who will sell one to anyone, and chances are you won’t find one there

Just to let you know, Siberian Huskies are not first good time pets. They shed like crazy, they howl, they dig holes, they jump. So I would not recommend a husky for your first time dog. Do some more research just go on google and type in siberian husky info. You will find many sites there.
    Hope I helped (:
