Remember the following:
1. A responsible breeder will have his/her dogs tested clear for hip dysplasia (through OFA or PennHip) and eye problems (through CERF or SHOR). They can explain what all of this means, and will be happy to provide proof.
2. A responsible breeder will tell you all of the BAD things about this breed, as well as the good. Siberians are not just a smaller version of a Malamute…they are a very different dog in terms of temperament.
More info on the breed:
http://www.shca.org/shcahp2b.htm
3. A responsible breeder will DO something with their dogs; showing or running their dogs in harness is a MUST.
More information on breeder websites:

4. NEVER buy a puppy, any puppy, from a pet store. As someone who has rescued many Siberians originally bought at pet stores, I implore you. There is *no such thing* as a "good" pet store that sells puppies.
5. Be careful with puppyfind.com — while I'm glad that someone found a healthy puppy through that site, all breed puppy websites are generally populated with puppy mills and backyard breeders. Looking through the list of Siberians, I can't find a single seller that I would recommend.
Good luck!

Hey there, I just bought a husky in the San Jose area two weeks ago. He is the most awesome guy! I found this breeder on puppyfinder.com, it is a good site to look. Good luck!

You can check on these two sites http://petfinder.com put in the breed & your zip code and hit search. It will show you ones closest to you and as your search goes on it will take you further from your home tow. http://puppyfind.com Find your breed & put in your state under location. I believe you will have to create a login but it is free. My brother bought an AKC Boxer from that sight and she is very healthy & beautiful There are also reviews written on there by buyers so you can check out the satisfactions. Good luck on your search!!!
